Anisere Charity Ugochi

2017-2019

I am a past student of Orisun School of Hospitality. I am currently a student at Wavecrest College of Hospitality Management, Lagos State.

My stay and study as a student at Orisun School of Hospitality was a great opportunity for me to discover who I am, my skills, my potentials, my strengths and weaknesses. I got to know the school through my sister and a friend. I had the opportunity to be a student of this noble school on scholarship, and I am very grateful for that. That was indeed a stepping stone for me because now I can fend for myself from the skills I have learnt from this school, no more low self-esteem. I am very proud of the woman I am today. All thanks to Orisun School of Hospitality and most especially to my sponsors. May God bless you abundantly. Amen.

Before I finished Orisun School, I already had plenty of job offers from different places. Orisun gave me the opportunity to cook for white people and black people. I have met different people through the work of catering. Orisun helped me in different ways: spiritually, physically and most of all, they helped me in living in a society, where one suffers to get a job. All thanks to my teachers. Orisun is the best school a girl child should attend before any other thing in life. With what I learnt from Orisun, I have been able to work and take care of my family, till today.

I am grateful for my life and destiny for bringing me to Orisun School of Hospitality. The beautiful experience with the supervisors and students is something that money cannot buy. This makes me realize that I have something special that many don’t have. I learnt so many things in Orisun and they are really helping me now. Presently I’m working. I’m also a dealer of cake tools and ingredients. I’m very proud to say that I’m doing very well. All of these things I have learnt from you, I am confident to express my gratitude to my dearest supervisors and teachers in various departments, who helped me in my journey.

Orisun has helped me in so many ways: my physical life and spiritual life. I really learnt a lot in Orisun and that’s what made me who I am today. Being in Orisun is very challenging, but trust me, when you overcome all that, you can deal with anything life brings for you. I never had a regret of going there because it has really help me a lot, because ever since I finished school, I haven’t asked my parents for money rather I help them with the little I earn and that gives me so much respect in my family. We all know food is a lucrative business in our country now and am using the skills I learnt to earn my living now. Am into online food deliveries. Am doing well in my little busines

Going to Orisun School of Hospitality has been one of my biggest achievements. My training from Orisun has been of great benefit, which I am grateful for. It has been my source of income and livelihood. It has given me great joy because things I felt could be done by only experts can also be done by me. In all, I am so grateful to my Aunt, Mum, and all the staff of Orisun. I am pleased to be a product of the Orisun School of Hospitality. May God bless Orisun and may Orisun continue to grow and bring forth substantial women into the world.

2019 - 2021

I gained admission into Orisun School of Hospitality in the year, 2019 and I finished in the year, 2021. As a new student, who had passion for Hospitality, I was open to learning new skills. Orisun's training helped and widened my knowledge and I appreciate my supervisors for their guidance because the training made me who I am today. Although there were difficult times, just as the saying goes: "when the going gets tough, the tough gets going", with the help of God, I scaled through.

Schooling in Orisun was so impressive that I can't imagine comparing her to other catering schools I have known so far. I built my passion and it became a perpetual profession. Orisun has MADE ME WHO I AM today in the skills I have acquired, in my spiritual life and social appearance. I learnt a lot of things that can't be forgotten, All thanks to Orisun.

I return all the glory to God and also to my family and to Orisun School of Hospitality for bringing me this far. The journey that started in 2020 has ended. Orisun has done many things in my life that I can never forget and I can never regret being in Orisun. I learnt different things in housekeeping, food and beverage service, food and beverage production, laundry and from spiritual direction. I was always happy with the Wednesday classes of Applied Ethics because I learnt new things and my thanks goes to the teacher, and to all the staff for showing this stubborn girl love, showing me how to love my neighbor with out looking at the person's behavior and to know God. I really appreciate what you have done in my life and I am happy that I stayed with you.

The two-year training at Orisun School of Hospitality has helped me become a strong and competent lady in the field of Hospitality and in society. Since I finished from school, I have carried out various training sessions with other young people... sharing the experience I got from Orisun with them. I am also an independent lady now, catering for myself and also helping out at home with what I can.

My first appreciation goes to God Almighty. I want to thank the Management of Orisun School of Hospitality for making me what I am today. During my semesters in the School, the School didn't give me any reason to doubt the competency of the School, but showed me how to Love, to be Kind, Honest and Humble. I will remain grateful to the School authority. I say a big thank you.

Orisun School of Hospitality has a very robust approach to developing capabilities in students and prepares you for the outside world. The teachers in Orisun are well- educated and inspirational individuals. I commend all the teachers. It's a School that efficiently balances work, play and prayer.

Orisun is a school that grooms girls into women. The school has helped me to know that everything is possible, if and when I strive for it and to know how to balance my time effectively. The training has also helped me to be self-dependent and be able to tackle challenges, comport myself in general and to be orderly. The best of it all is to be hardworking and that hard work has paid off. My stay in Orisun was good and very enjoyable.

Orisun School of Hospitality is a place where I really learnt a lot of things, moral and spiritual things. It is a very big place with so many things being taught. l learnt how to bake cakes & decorate them, preparation of traditional and continental dishes, such as Chinese bread, pizza, shawarma, samosas, French fries, I am, fish & meat pies, chin chin, eba with egusi soup, vegetable soup with semovita, etc. l can say that Orisun is a very good place to learn to be professional. Even though it is not all l learnt that I practise, but Iam very good in all I learnt. I bake cakes & decorate them. I make homemade-made bread, chin chin. l was opportuned to go to Lagos for my I.T after my graduation from Orisopportuneun. That was what took me to Lagos for the very first time in my life. I really appreciate the doughnutsin Orisun. It was the teachers who mademe succeed there & I wish to train others & my children when they grow up. Even though I found everything then so difficult, I am enjoying it now. There is nothing like lack of job after graduation from Orisun, but talk about Nigeria nowadays, after graduation from the university, people have no place to find job. l like Orisun School ofHospitality. May God continue to keep the people who manage the School & those who established it for young girls to learn & come out colourful. Thanks Orisun & all my teachers. I am very proud of Orisun.

My journey at Orisun wasn't an easy one, but trust me, I made it through. Orisun made me who I am today. I must say a very special thank you to everyone who contributed to the reformation and success of my academic pursuit and life style during my stay. Honestly, my story would have been an incomplete one without you all. With the knowledge, skills, wisdom, confidence, and courage acquired at Orisun, I have been able to put things together and make a living out of all. I'm still working very hard to raise capital for my own business. The dream is to have my own restaurant. And 'through Christ, all things are possible'. Long live, Orisun; Long live, 2018 Set.

2019 - 2021.

Orisun school of hospitality has helped me in so many ways, most especially, in physical life and spiritual life...mind you Orisun did not only help me in the spiritual and physical life aspect. I was taught in so many departments which are :food and beverage service department, food production department, housekeeping, front office and laundry departments. After learning from all these departments I listed here, that was not the end of my two [ 2] year - course. I continued by going for my Industrial Training (IT), for Six months. While on my IT, I used all the teachings and experiences I gained in Orisun School of Hospitality in my workplace and my other colleagues are benefitting from it. Orisun has taught me and I have learnt how to be independent without looking for help from family or friends.

I really Appreciate ORISUN SCHOOL OF HOSPITALITY 😍💕for giving me the opportunity to learn. I have learnt so many things, which I can't finish penning down .

2016 - 2018

Just after I finished from high school, I got admission into Orisun School of Hospitality, which meant I had imagined going into a University immediately after high school, with my mates. I thought catering school won't make any difference in my life and what's there to be learnt. But, I was wrong.

Orisun gave me enough time to find my realest abilities. My supervisors made sure I became perfect in every aspect, and in the kitchen, which is my passion area, I was given enough period to learn as I wanted, (A supervisor once complained about me not staying at my department, which was laundry then, to my Director. I was scolded, but the next day I was asked to go to kitchen. I love kitchen.)

Orisun also creates opportunities for me and others even after school. I do go to school anytime I need advice on my line of work.

Recently, I am in school studying Tourism, and also I'm paying my tuition fees myself and taking care of my welfare. I barely disturb my family.

I love orisun.
